Match 2 : After the rise, Came DownFall

Though it was known that the match was going to be tough, but it was never expected to have ended this way. A humiliating loss by the hands of mighty Aussies is definetly a setback for the Indian Hockey Team.

Coming from a fresh win 2 nights ago, Indian team looked to have some restrained facing Australia. But everything vanished in a Jiffy, when they had no match for the Australian Hockey team, who attacked from both flanks and never gave away possession.

India was no match for the Pace Australia had in their belly, and to add the wows, Indian defenders were caught napping on the turf, the first came in the 3rd minute, when a defensive error by Mahadik lead to first goal by Aussies.

This was then followed by opening of flood gates, as goals kept on flowing from all the ends. The five Australians goals came from the sticks of Desmond Abbott (3rd minute), Trent Mitton (6th), Eddie Ockenden (48th), Liam de Young (54th) and Glenn Turner (58th), while Dharamvir Singh (12th) and Sandeep Singh were India's goal-getters.
