Tigers facing the Bagpipes : India Takes on Scotland at CWG 2010

Mixed feelings on the Pitch and off the pitch, when team India takes on Scotland in their much important fixture here at the CWG 2010.

Indian hockey majorly known for giving surprises all the time yet again presented their inconsistency when they won their first game against Malaysia 3-2 but were all out against Australia, when they were trashed 5-2 in a much one sided match.

The fixture between Indian and Scotland becomes much more important as next they face arch rivals Pakistan. Therefore, in order to make it to the semi-finals, this match becomes much more important. Winning this game and managing a draw against Pakistan would ensure a entry to the semifinals. But if they loose out in this game, the path to glory becomes much more difficult.

Scotland on the other hand is new in this game and were trashed badly by Australia. But then again, the spirited performance by their women team against India might give the men team a much needed boost on their game.

Now all eyes would be set on this encounter on

Though it was known that the match was going to be tough, but it was never expected to have ended this way. A humiliating loss by the hands of mighty Aussies is definetly a setback for the Indian Hockey Team.
